your personal divorce and family law attorney
Danielle Montalto-Bly has been working in the fields of matrimonial and family law since her law school days. While attending New York Law School, Danielle volunteered with the Sanctuary for Families, helping low-income, domestic abuse victims navigate the divorce process. Her work with the pro bono organization forged her interest in domestic relations law and a passion for providing efficient and empathetic legal services to clients faced with emotionally heavy legal matters.
Prior to graduating law school, Danielle held internships with two private Manhattan-based matrimonial law firms, where she honed her knowledge of the practice. Upon her admission to the New York State Bar, First Department, Ms. Montalto-Bly was hired by Meier, Franzino & Scher, LLP, where she worked as a matrimonial and commercial litigation associate for two years before moving on to Zelenitz, Shapiro & D’Agostino, P.C. There, Danielle worked as a matrimonial and family law associate for six years. In her sixth year Ms. Montalto-Bly was promoted to managing associate, overseeing a team of associates for the general practice firm.
Danielle understands that counsel fees can be expensive and the need for legal representation is generally unplanned. That’s why she strives to provide her clients with practical advice, intended to make the legal process easier to navigate and as bearable as humanly possible. She seeks to be efficient with client’s resources, aiming to secure them the best outcome for child custody, child support, equitable distribution, divorce or family law matters, without wasting time and resources on applications based in emotion or retaliation. Danielle knows the laws and the legal system, equipping her with the insight into the perspectives and patterns of local Judges, Referees and Support Magistrates alike.
